Attending The MPR Annual Session, Jokowi Wears Maluku Traditional Clothes, Maruf Betawi

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo attended the MPR Annual Session and the 2023 DPR and DPD Joint Session in the Plenary Meeting Room, the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Nusantara Building, Wednesday, August 16. Jokowi and the first lady arrived at the DPR building at around 08.35 WIB. This year, Jokowi wore traditional clothes from the Tanimbar area, Maluku. The head of state appeared to be wearing a white shirt wrapped in a complete weaving with hairy head decorations. Meanwhile, the first lady wore a kebaya. Meanwhile, Vice President (Wapres) KH Ma'ruf Amin was accompanied by Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma'ruf Amin arrived at the Nusantara Building at around 08.30 WIB. Vice President Ma'ruf Amin wore traditional Betawi clothing, DKI Jakarta Province.

The vice president chose the top suit in the form of a black Demang suit combined with a bright colored cloth with a chain decoration on the chest accompanying the presidential emblem, and wearing a black cap. Meanwhile, Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma'ruf Amin also looks elegant wearing a brown national kebaya combined with a matching scarf and a dark songket Bali.

After attending the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD, at around 13.30 WIB in the same place, President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin will also attend the Plenary Meeting of the Opening Session Period I of the DPR for the 2023 2024 Session Year, as well as listen to the President's Speech in order to submit Government Information on the Bill on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2024 along with its Financial Note.

In addition to the leadership and members of the MPR, DPR, and DPD, it was also seen that the former Presidents and Vice Presidents, Heads of State Institutions, Friends of State Ambassadors, Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, Former MPR/DPR/DPD Leaders, and other invited guests were also present.
