Peratin (Village Head) Marang Surdi confirmed the clash which resulted in four people being stabbed and one unit of a resident's car being burned.

"It happened at around 16.00 WIB, the clash between residents and PT KCMU which resulted in 4 residents being injured," said Surdi as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 15.

The four victims were residents of Marang, West Coast Regency. Not only residents were injured, but there were vehicles belonging to residents of the Suzuki New Carry pickup type without a police number.

"There were people's cars that were burned as well," he said.

He explained that the situation is still tense. TNI personnel and local police are still on guard at the scene.

"All the injured victims were from residents, all of them have been treated at the Biha Health Center, and the current situation has disbanded from the scene," he said.
