Employees Enter The Terrorist Network, PT KAI: Suspected Of Being The Reporting Officer At Jakarta Kota Station

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) supports the legal process and is ready to cooperate with the police regarding the alleged involvement of KAI employees in the global Islamic State of Iraq and Shiriah or ISIS terrorism network.

President Director of PT KAI Didiek Hartantyo responded positively to what the Anti-terror Detachment 88 had done to arrest its employees with the initials DE, who is the broadcaster, regarding the involvement of terrorism.

"PT KAI supports the police as well as the rules or legal processes. We will also always coordinate with the police," said Didiek as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 15.

According to Didiek, the KAI employee who was suspected of being involved in the terrorism network and was arrested by Densus 88 Anti-terror was a broadcaster at Jakarta Kota Station.

"We have also emphasized and instructed each unit leader to know his subordinates directly," he said.

Didiek added, internally PT KAI since 2018 has also collaborated with the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and extended the cooperation agreement in September 2021 regarding the synergy of preventing terrorism radicalism.

"The cooperation with BNPT is in the context of prevention related to terrorism in all railway operating areas (Daop). This is to prevent radicalism," said Didiek.

Previously, the Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror Team of the National Police arrested a suspected terrorist employee of PT KAI in Bekasi City, West Java.

Spokesperson for the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Polri Kombes Pol. Aswin Siregar confirmed that DE, a suspect in a suspected terrorist crime arrested in North Bekasi, was a BUMN employee at PT KAI.

DE was arrested by Densus 88 Anti-terror Police investigators at 12.17 WIB in Bulak Sentul, Harapan Jaya, North Bekasi.
