Cak Imin Calls The Political Cost Of Candidates In Jakarta Rp40 Billion

JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Ketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar said the political costs of prospective legislative members in DKI Jakarta reached Rp40 billion.

"In Jakarta, my friends have three to four times, the cost is around Rp. 40 billion," said Cak Imin, his nickname, quoting Antara.

He explained that the political competition in the last two terms, shows that competitions that justify everything have been going on in the field, very openly.

"What is conveyed by money politics (money politics), the rich in power, the winners who have money, is proven in the field well," he also said.

The deputy chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives is concerned about this condition. In fact, he emphasized that he was one of those who wanted young people and activists, who had to sit in the legislature with a clear ideology.

"The competition is very pragmatic," he said again.

However, when asked how much the political costs for the presidential election were, Muhaimin just smiled and laughed.

"I've never had experience being a presidential candidate, so I don't know," he said.

The Islamic Archipelago Foundation (INF) held a Cultural Speech with the theme 'Back to the Cita-Cita Luhur Bangsa'. This activity is in commemoration of the 78th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Joeang 45 Building, Jakarta.

The activity was attended by the Chairman of the INF Advisory Board Professor KH Said Aqil Siradj who is also the Chairman of the Islamic Ormas Friendship Institute (LPOI).
