Ruko Fire Losses In Cengkareng Reaches IDR 3 Billion, One Officer Injured Lightly

JAKARTA - The process of extinguishing the fire at a shophouse located on Jalan Taman Palem Mutiara Blok B8, No. 23, Cengkareng Timur Village, Cengkareng District has finally been extinguished. The fire began to extinguish since 15.15 WIB.

"Alhamdulillah, the fire that burned the shophouse was extinguished. The object caught fire was the warehouse of Tong Andi's Babamu online shop (42). The fire status was green," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syarifuddin when confirmed, Tuesday, August 8.

However, during the fire extinguishing process, one firefighter suffered injuries to his hands as a result of being hit by broken glass.

"There were members of PJLP, the wound was pointed at by the broken glass. He had been referred to the Cengkareng Hospital," he said.

Meanwhile, the number of fire engines deployed was 14 units with a total number of officers, 65 personnel.

"The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit. As a result of the fire that occurred, the owner suffered a loss of Rp. 3 billion," he added.

Previously, it was reported that a building located on Jalan Taman Palem Mutiara, Block B, No. 23, Cengkareng Timur Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, was again hit by a fire on Tuesday afternoon, August 8.
