After The Three Stages Of The Assessment, Munarman's Criminal Investigation Convict Follows The Pledge Of Loyalty To The Unitary State Of The Republic Of Indonesia In Salemba Prison

JAKARTA - Convicts of Terrorism Crime (Napiter) Munarman participated in the Pledge of Loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia at the Class IIA Salemba Correctional Institution (Lapas) on Tuesday afternoon, August 8.

The activity was carried out as one of the requirements to get the rights of prisoners.

"This is an activity of one of the requirements for inmates to get their rights. This activity is the result of a recommendation from BNPT, they are assessing Munarman's inmates, then they make a letter of approval for us, then we carry out this pledge from the Republic of Indonesia," said the Head of the Class IIA Salemba Prison, Yosafat Rizanto to reporters, Tuesday, August 8.

Untuk mendapatkan hak, Napiter Munarman harus menjalani 3 tahapan. Menurut Yosafat, tahapan pertama sudah dilaksanakan di tempat sebelumnya. Kemudian dilanjutkan di Lapas Klas IIA Salemba.

"After 3 months, then BNPT agreed that the person concerned already has the right to Pledge the Republic of Indonesia. For about 6 months, Munarman will only be able to participate in the Ikrar of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

Meanwhile, to obtain the Ikrar of the Republic of Indonesia, Napiter Munarman must undergo special requirements from BNPT. If the assessment has not been fulfilled, Napiter Munarman cannot be immediately accepted by BNPT and Densus.

"The rights of those who are also followed by BNPT and Densus, they have carried out coaching from entering our place," he said.

However, Yosafat was reluctant to elaborate on the assessment process that Napiter Munarman underwent from BNPT and Densus so that his rights could be fulfilled at the Salemba Prison.

"It's a secret coincidence from them (BNPT and Densus), we can't all explain. Because what was conveyed to us was a secret, the point is that he was the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

As is known, Napiter Munarman was sentenced to 3 years in prison at the 2022 verdict. The former General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was legally proven to have committed a criminal act of terrorism.

"Munarman has served approximately 1.5 years in prison," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the defendant Munarman, the former General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was sentenced to three years in prison in a case of alleged terrorism by a panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, April 6.

"The trial stated that the defendant Munarman was legally and convincingly proven to have committed a criminal act of terrorism. Sentencing the defendant in the form of a three-year prison sentence," said the panel of judges.

This sentence is as stated in Article 13 Juncto Article 7 which has been stipulated as Law Number 15 of 2003 concerning Perppu Number 1 of 2002 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism into Juncto Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning Amendments to Law 15 of 2003 concerning Stipulation of Perppu Number 1 of 2002 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism.
