JAKARTA - Chairman of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (Apeksi), Bima Arya Sugiarto said that input to the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Anwar Makarim regarding the evaluation of the new student admission system (PPDB) aims to equalize the quality of education.

"As Chair of APEKSI, I have submitted input to the Minister of Education that the zoning system must be evaluated, the goal is good for equity," said Bima Arya, who is also the Mayor of Bogor, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 31.

According to Bima Arya, in addition to requests for evaluation regarding equitable distribution of the quality of education in the PPBD system, there needs to be regional cooperation in terms of school infrastructure.

In addition, equitable distribution of quality teachers and educators is also important so that it no longer creates favorite schools in the future.

Attention to the construction of new schools and improvement of school infrastructure needs to be carried out by the local government so that the repair system goes hand in hand.

"But it requires cooperation for all of us to correct building more schools, prepare teachers, appoint honorary staff so that they are available and adequate educators in schools," he said.

Bima views that the mayor's job is to ensure that Disdukcapil and Disdik, SD and SMP have a strong system so that their rights are guaranteed.

Bima Arya also entrusted integrity to the Bogor City Education Office, which had just experienced a rotation so that according to the oath of office he did not accept, give, accept anything outside the rules.

"I also don't want Disdik to burden schools, don't let anything be given outside the rules," he said.
