JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force in Banguntapan District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region reminded the potential of the spread of the new corona virus from family clusters, which has recently been occurring in this region.

"The recent spread of COVID-19 is the existence of clusters of families, workplaces and travelers," said Banguntapan sub-district head who is also the head of the Banguntapan Bantul COVID-19 Handling Task Force in an official statement in Bantul, reported by Antara, Saturday, January 30. .

Therefore, his party asks the public to be aware of the potential for COVID-19 transmission in the family environment, especially if there are symptoms, especially if there is a phenomenon of positive COVID-19 patients not being straightforward and not immediately reporting to the local RT Task Force when confirmed positive.

"Even those who are aware of symptoms lack discipline in implementing health protocols. Common symptoms are loss of smell and taste, dizziness, cough and runny nose, diarrhea, vomiting and so on," he said.

Fauzan said that entering the second period of limiting community activities, namely Limited Tightening of Community Activities (PTKM), the total positive number of COVID-19 in Banguntapan District reached over 1,000 people, 1,032 cases to be exact.

"Of that number, 172 people are still sick, some are in hospitals, shelters, and some are in self-quarantine at home. Down from last week which was 190 people," he said.

He said the data on the development of COVID-19 in Banguntapan as of January 30, numerically, was a total of 1,032 positive cases with a cure rate of 835 people, while 25 positive cases died, so that the number of patients who were still sick was 172 people.

The distribution of COVID-19 cases covers eight villages, namely Banguntapan Village 457 cases, Baturetno Village 186 people, Jagalan Village 27 people, Jambidan Village 80 people, Potorono Village 90 people, Singosaren Village 22 people, Tamanan Village 89 people, and Wirokerten Village 81 people.

Data from the Bantul Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force said that the total number of confirmed cases accumulated as of Saturday was 5,980 after the addition of 152 people, and a total of 4,814 recovered after cases of recovery increased by 104 people.

171 positive cases of COVID-19 died, after the addition of three cases died, thus positive patients who were still undergoing isolation or treatment in a number of hospitals as of Saturday, totaled 995 people.
