The Challenge Scenario For Investigation Is Suspected That The KPK Was Made At The Lukas Enembe House

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that efforts to hinder the investigation prepared by lawyer Stefanus Roy Rening were made at the house of the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. This allegation was investigated by another lawyer who participated in defending Lukas, Petrus Balla Pattyona.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said Petrus was examined as a witness on Thursday, July 27 yesterday. His statement was needed to clarify the actions of his colleague, Stefanus, who is now being held at the KPK Detention Center (Rutan).

"Witnesses were present and their knowledge was explored, among others, related to the alleged preparation of an obstruction scenario by the suspect SRR while at the residence of Lukas Enembe in Papua," Ali told reporters in a written statement, Friday, July 28.

Ali did not elaborate further on the composition of the scenario. Petrus' statement will be opened in court later.

Previously, the KPK officially detained one of Lukas Enembe's attorneys, Stefanus Roy Rening, regarding the alleged obstruction to the investigation into bribery, gratification, and money laundering (TPPU) cases. He is suspected of influencing the witness to build an incorrect opinion.

In addition, Roy asked other people who were witnesses in the Lukas Enembe case to give testimonials that were not true. The goal is that the anti-corruption commission is considered negative so that the investigation into the alleged corruption that is running cannot be carried out.

The witness was asked to convey false news at the church in Papua. So, the congregation there was finally provoked.

The KPK also suspects that Stefanus advised other witnesses not to hand over money as a return on the alleged corruption proceeds that are being resolved. The challenge of this investigation has been carried out since the anti-corruption commission named Lukas Enembe as a suspect.
