JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Department has tested the flyover of Lenteng Agung and Tanjung Barat, South Jakarta, for the public (open traffic) for three days.

"The trial of 'open traffic' over the Lenteng Agung and Tanjung Barat flyovers will start tomorrow (31/1), for three days," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Office, Hari Nugroho, quoted by Antara, Saturday, January 30.

Hari said the trial time for the Lenteng Agung-IISP and Tanjung Barat flyover was scheduled for Sunday at 08.00 - 21.00 WIB.

Trial the following day Monday, February 1 at 06.00 to 21.00 WIB. Then, Tuesday, February 2 at 06.00 - 21.00 WIB.

"After this trial, an evaluation will be held on the imperfections of the work in the field," said Hari.

The evaluation looks at the lack of work on, markings, signs and other road equipment.

He said there was still a work completion, namely the completion of the pedestrian bridge (JPO) both at the "fly over" of Lenteng Agung and Tanjung Barat.

"We hope this JPO work can be completed in the near future," he said.

The existence of this JPO, continued Hari, is to facilitate road crossers who will cross the railroad tracks from east to west and vice versa.

Apart from the construction of the JPO, other works are still ongoing, namely the completion of the side road "fly over" of Tanjung Barat on the south east side.

"This work is still in progress for the land acquisition," said Hari.

Hari added that the completion of the work is sought not to interfere with the operation of the two "flyovers" and it is hoped that road users will obey the signs and road directions in the field.

The Lenteng Agung flyover is 430 meters long on the west side and 450 meters on the east side with a width of 6.5 meters. Meanwhile, the "fly over" of West Tanjung on the west side reaches 540 meters and the east side is 590 meters.

The two flyovers are attractively designed by taking the shape of a horseshoe back to back.
