Hasto Kubu Finds Inconsistency In The Indictment Of The PAW Bribery Case

JAKARTA - Hasto Kristiyanto's attorney, Febri Diansyah, said that he found inconsistencies in the alleged bribery case for interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR.

According to him, the change in the contents of the indictment can be seen in the source of Rp400 million which was intended for former Commissioner of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Wahyu Setiawan.

"In the KPK indictment for Wahyu Setiawan, the 400 million was given by Harun Masiku to Saiful Bahri. The sound of the indictment was like that. We heard that in the indictment, it was changed. It was changed in such a way that it seemed as if the 400 million came from Pak Hasto," Febri told reporters, Friday, March 14.

The series of cases of alleged interim replacement bribery (PAW) of members of the DPR have three indictment clusters, namely Wahyu Setiawan and Agusetani Tio; Saiful Bahri; and Hasto Kristiyanto.

In addition, there are other differences in the indictment, namely about Hasto who ordered Nur Hasan to contact Harun Masiku to drown his cellphone.

"In the facts of the trial and in Nur Hasan's own statement, no Mr. Hasto ordered this. In fact, in the previous trial, those who appeared were well-built people," he said.

Even that difference is very strange because the description of the incident is very contradictory. In fact, all the charges were prepared by the KPK.

"Is it in such a way that changing the indictment is only to ensnare Hasto Kristiyanto? Of course that is our question. Because this is an overall case," said Febri.

In this case, Hasto was charged with playing a role in giving money amounting to SGD 57.350 or equivalent to Rp600 million for former KPU RI member Wahyu Setiawan. The giving was done with several people, including Harun Masiku.

The purpose of giving Harun Masiku money can be inaugurated as a elected Legislative Candidate (Caleg) for the 2019-2024 period replacing Riezky Aprilia in the South Sumatra (Sumsel) 1 electoral district.

In addition, Hasto was also charged with obstructing investigations by ordering Harun Masiku to submerge his cell phone and hide in the Police Science College (PTIK).
