Motives Of 2 Youths Killing Each Other In Bogor Revealed, Triggered By Debt

BOGOR - the motive for the deadly duel that killed one person in Citeureup, Bogor Regency, West Java, was revealed. The perpetrator was desperate to kill the victim because he was hurt and was not lent money.

"The result from the perpetrator's statement was the motive because he wanted to borrow money, but the victim did not respond," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Citeureup Police, Iptu Yayan Sopian, Tuesday, July 25.

The perpetrator with the initials DI borrowed money from the victim with the initials MS to meet his needs. Plus, the perpetrator is also known to have taken the deposit money at his place of work.

"You need money, he said, you want to get married too. Then the perpetrator has problems at work to return the shop deposit for 3 days. Both (the perpetrator and the victim) are the head of the D-Top store," he said.

Because he was ignored when he borrowed money, there was a verbal altercation between the perpetrator and the victim. Until finally, there was persecution with a knife that caused the victim to die.

"Pick first, then use your bare hands and then use the knife," said Yayan.

Currently, the perpetrator who was also injured in the deadly duel has been secured at the Citeureup Police. Previously, the perpetrator had undergone treatment at the hospital because he was injured.

"Yes. (We have secured the perpetrators), we have asked for information," he said.

Previously, two men were involved in a fight in a rented house in the Citeureup area, Bogor Regency, on Sunday, July 23, 2023. One of them died in this incident.

Two youths from Munawar Soim (26) died after a duel with Diansyah (21) in Leuwinutug Village, Citeureup District, Bogor Regency, Sunday, July 23 afternoon.

Diansyah suffered injuries to the head and neck. Meanwhile, Munawar also suffered lacerations to his stomach and back, as well as a knife that was still stuck in the neck.

"It happened yesterday afternoon, at around 13.00 WIB. Both of them got into a fight, one of them died and the other has now been taken to the hospital," said Yufrialdi.

Yufriri explained that he was investigating the cause or motive of the two youths fighting. His party has conducted a crime scene or crime scene at a rented house in Leuwinutug Village.

"The fight was discovered by their neighbor, but the witness asked other residents for help," he said.
