4 Days Of Compliance Operations Jaya 2023, Most Violators Against The Flow

JAKARTA - Operation Patuh Jaya 2023 has been going on for four days. It is noted that the most motorcycles violate the rules against the flow.

"There are at least many motorbikes. If the car goes against the flow, it's rare. Indeed, this motorbike is against the flow," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Friday, July 14.

During the four days of the operation, 3,000 motorists have been prosecuted. The most frequent forms of violations were against the flow.

The violations occurred in three locations, namely South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and West Jakarta.

"Di beberapa titik tempat seperti di Jalan Hayam Wuruk. Harus muter ke sana, tapi mutar sedikit. Beberapa tempat seperti di Jalan Tendean juga demikian. Seperti juga di Daan Mogot, ini masih ada beberapa tempat yang memang perlu pengawasan," ungkapnya.

On the other hand, Latif regrets that there are still many motorists who violate traffic rules, especially against the direction. In fact, their actions are very dangerous for themselves and other motorists.

Actually, there is no need for police, but awareness is needed. Because the signs are clear, and the dangers are clear. This is our focus," said Latif.

Originally, Operation Patuh Jaya 2023 began on July 10 and ended July 23. There were 14 forms of violations that became the focus of prosecution, ranging from going against the current to using RDS/RFP license plates.
