Pengalang - As an effort to accelerate extreme poverty alleviation, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo reviewed the assistance for the construction of a Clean Water Supply System (SPAM) in Gendoang Village, Moga District, Pemalang Regency.
The Rp371.7 million aid was allocated from the Central Java Provincial Budget for the management and development of cross-district and city SPAMs.
Ganjar explained that the SPAM of Gendoang Village was able to flow clean water of no less than 200 houses that had been relying on river water for bathing, washing and toilet purposes.
"This one tub can be used for approximately 200, even though below we can drain 70. This is the same as the village head who wants to develop the capacity of up to 200," said Ganjar at the location, Tuesday, July 4 afternoon.

SPAM assistance is distributed by installing pipes that are connected to springs from reservoirs in Gendoang Village. The pipes are connected directly to residents' homes that have been fitted with water engines.
Residents only use SPAM with a tap that has also been made by the Central Java Provincial Government in each house. Ganjar hopes that SPAM assistance can meet the basic needs of residents related to poverty alleviation.
"If this can be met, one of the indicators of the basic needs of those who are in the poor category, we will slowly fix it. God willing, the poverty indicators will be completed quickly," explained Ganjar.

He admitted that the SPAM assistance reduces his monthly expenses related to clean water contributions. He also said that his body is healthier because he consumes clean water more often.
