Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo prioritized the repair of school buildings damaged by the earthquake that hit Wonogiri Regency and several areas in Central Java.

From the results of field checks, it is known that several buildings were badly damaged and had to be repaired immediately due to the impact of the 6.4 magnitude earthquake centered in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region, on Friday, June 30.
Some of the buildings that fall into the category of severe damage are schools, including SMKN 1 Pracimantoro, 14 buildings and 27 classrooms, practicum and halls that were damaged by the earthquake. The damage occurred quite badly, namely the released roof, the collapsed ceiling, and cracked walls.
"After yesterday the earthquake, I was reported on the way home from the pilgrimage. Yesterday I immediately asked to dispatch a team, check the condition of the community and inventory the damage. Today we tried to check in Wonogiri to see his condition," he said.
Ganjar said, from the results of the damage checking, there were parts of the building that were cracked and quite dangerous and there were roof tiles made of concrete that were prone to collapse.
"We found several structures that are not yet strong, so we asked our team to conduct an audit, whether the building is still feasible or not. And I ask that it be repaired immediately, we move quickly," he said.
Apart from Wonogiri Regency, the Central Java Provincial Government has also prepared a budget to improve the impact of the Bantul earthquake in all areas of Central Java. Not only school buildings, but also places of worship and residents' houses.
"Including the improvement of houses of worship, houses of residents and others. We coordinate with the local government, which is a priority for improvement. For the budget, apart from the state budget, we also optimize it from UPZ, CSR and others to make it faster. Later if it's not enough, we will coordinate with BNPB," he said.
