SULTRA - A husband and wife couple (couple) and their two children had an accident on Jalan Brigadier General M. Yoenoes, Kendari City, North Sulawesi (Sultra). The motorbike that was riding by one family was hit from behind by a box car.

Head of Traffic Unit (Lantas) Kendari Police AKP Muchsin said the husband who was riding a motorbike was declared dead at the scene.

"When the accident occurred, Ramadan, who was riding a motorcycle, rode with his wife Riska Nurjana Dari (33) and two children named Hanna (5) and Zaviyar (5)," said Muchsin in Kendari, Monday, July 3, as reported by Antara.

Muchsin explained that the accident occurred when the box car driven by Ariful Jainuri (24) with the police number DT 9591 DH moved at high speed from the west of Pasar Baru to Korumba.

At the same time, the motorcycle with the number DT 3442 OF driven by Ramadan and his family moved one way with the box car

"Arriving at the TKP (the crime scene), the motorcyclist tried to move his lane to the right, so he was hit from behind by a box car Ariful Jainuri," he said.

Muchsin said the collision caused Ramadan and its rides to bounce about 30 meters forward.

Ramadan suffered bleeding to the ears and nose, fracture to the neck, and minor injuries to the elbow. The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.

"Meanwhile, the victim's wife and child were injured and abrased around the eyebrows," he said.

After the accident, the victims were immediately rushed to the Bhayangkara Kendari Hospital for medical treatment.

"The steps taken, went to and secured and processed the crime scene, recorded the identity of witnesses, secured evidence, made rough sketches of the crime scene, and checked the victim at Bhayangkara Kendari Hospital," said Muchsin.
