CENTRAL JAVA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Central Java Province (Central Java) encourages the General Elections Commission (KPU) to maintain voter data to the implementation of voting after the determination of the 2024 Election DPT in Central Java which was recorded as 28,289,413 voters.

The DPT for the 2024 General Election in Central Java was recorded as 28,289,413 voters consisting of 14,113,893 male voters and 14,175,520 female voters with 117,299 polling stations spread across 35 districts/cities, 576 sub-districts and 8,563 sub-districts/villages.

Regarding the determination of the DPT, Central Java Bawaslu highlighted that persons with disabilities have the same rights in holding elections or in accordance with Article 5 of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections.

Of the total DPT, he continued, as many as 187,501 voters were voters with disabilities which included physical, intellectual, mental, sensory speech, sensory ringu, and visually impaired disability.

"People with disabilities who meet the requirements have the same opportunity as voters," he said.

He said that the stages of compiling the voter list were one of the long stages in the election.

"Election supervisors always prioritize prevention in the monitoring process. If under surveillance they find something, Bawaslu in Central Java always submits advice on improvements," he said.
