The Cow Belonging To Deli Serdang Residents Was Purchased By President Jokowi For The 2023 Eid Al-Adha Sacrifice

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo bought a cow belonging to Rahmat, a resident of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra whose weight was 1.02 tons or 1,020 kilograms for the sacrifice at Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriah in North Sumatra, and the meat was distributed to local residents.

"The latest weight of the cows is 1,020 kilograms, this cow is called Mosin because it is a limousine," said Rahmat, the owner of the cattle purchased by President Jokowi in Deli Serdang Rahmat in Medan to Antara, Sunday.

He said that at the beginning of the purchase of this cow by President Jokowi, there was an envoy from the North Sumatra Provincial Government to ask about a cow in Tandem Hilir Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang weighing one ton.

"Then we offered this cow to the province. Then the cow was weighed, after that the blood, saliva and dirt were taken," said Rahmat.

After that, said Rahmat, 15 days later came back from the province to buy the cow, and was given worm medicine, vitamins.

"The Mosin cow weighing 1,020 kg is offered IDR 90 million, then the cow ordered by President Jokowi is planned to be sent by the Medan Grand Mosque on June 28, 2023," he said.

He said that before being given to the Grand Mosque, special treatments were carried out, such as providing vitamins and good feed.

"This cow is given a fresh concentrat feed so that it maintains weight, it is possible to increase the weight of the cow ahead of Eid al-Adha later," said Rahmat.

President Joko Widodo gave 38 cows distributed to each province in Indonesia in the framework of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri.
