Police Immediately Hand Over The Corruption Case Of PDAM Rejang Lebong 2018-2019 After Fixing 2 Suspects

BENGKULU - The police have named two suspects in the alleged corruption case in the financial management of PDAM Tirta Dharma, Rejang Lebong Regency, whose name is now Perumda Air Drinking Tirta Bukit Kaba.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Rejang Lebong Police, Police Inspector Satu Denyfita Mochtar, said the alleged corruption case occurred in 2018-2019.

"Currently, we have named two people as suspects. One former director and another employee staff at the PDAM," he said when releasing the case at the Rejang Lebong Police Headquarters, Bengkulu, Wednesday, June 21, was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the alleged corruption case in providing performance allowances or incentives for PDAM Director Tirta Dharma, Rejang Lebong Regency, had the initials OR, resulting in a state loss of around Rp. 400 million.

Denyfita added that the investigation into the alleged corruption case had been carried out in recent years.

The file was also returned by the Rejang Lebong District Attorney (Kejari) because there was a possibility that a new suspect would emerge after the police named one suspect.

However, in the near future, Denyfita said that the file for the alleged corruption case would be transferred back to the Kejari Rejang Lebong so that the two suspects who had been named immediately went to trial.

Previously, the alleged corruption case in providing incentives to PDAM director Tirta Dharma emerged after the discovery of the company's financial use without the Regent's Decree in 2018-2019.

The allowance received by the suspect OR as Director of PDAM Tirta Dharma in Rejang Lebong Regency 2018-2020 is around Rp. 30 million each month outside of his basic salary.

The large value of the allowance was questioned by residents of Rejang Lebong and then reported it to law enforcement officials.
