KPK Claims To Have Pocketed Information And Immediately Get Evidence Of Corruption At The Ministry Of Agriculture

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) admits that it has pocketed information related to allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) which is being investigated. The KPK will analyze the information so that there is corroborating evidence.

"KPK also has information as a candidate for evidence, of course, in the next processes," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, June 15.

This information was obtained from dozens of people who were presented in the investigation process, said Ali. They are ASN and officials at the Ministry of Agriculture.

"Since early January 2023, we have invited many of them to the KPK. I think there are dozens of them," he said.

Furthermore, the KPK will summon a number of parties including the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo on Friday, June 16 tomorrow.

"I think we have determined the position after the invited parties are all present and it is enough that we can draw conclusions on several things in the investigation process," said Ali.

In the circulating message, it was stated that the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo along with two of his subordinates, KSD and HTA were also involved in this alleged corruption. This investigation is said to have been running since January 16.

Acting Deputy for Enforcement Asep Guntur confirmed the investigation at the Ministry of Agriculture. However, he did not want to elaborate because this process was carried out behind closed doors, unlike the investigation.
