Remind ASN To Work According To Trust, KPK: Every Salary Of People's Sweat Results

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded state civil servants (ASN) to work according to their duties. The salary they get comes from the people so it can't be arbitrary.

This warning was given after the KPK named 10 suspects in the corruption case of performance allowances at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. They are suspected of manipulating the budget.

"KPK reminds that every rupiah of salary received by a state civil servant is the result of people's sweat," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to reporters, Thursday, June 15.

Firli emphasized that each budget must also be utilized optimally because it comes from public taxes. "Therefore, its use must obey the rules and procedures that apply as an accountability for the mandate," he said.

This was conveyed by Firli regarding the bribery case for performance allowances (tukin) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. KPK has detained 9 of the 10 suspects in this case. They are Subdivision of Treasury Priyo Andi Gularso, Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Novian Hari Subagio, and PPK staff Lernhard Febrian Sirait.

Then there are other suspects, namely the Expenditure Treasurer Christa Handayani Pangaribowo, PPABP Rokhmat Annashikhah, SPM Operator Beni Arianto, Bill Tester Hendi, PPK Haryat Prasetyo, and screenwriter Maria Febri Valentine.

Meanwhile, another person, the Expenditure Treasurer of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Abdullah, has not been detained due to illness. The detention will only be carried out after he is declared healthy and can be held accountable for his actions.

As a result of the actions of the suspects, the state lost Rp27.6 billion. This figure arises due to the difference in payments from the amount it should have.

The amount of allowance that should have been paid was Rp. 1,399,928,153 but was paid in the amount of Rp. 29,003,205,373. This resulted in a difference of Rp. 27,603,277,720.

This difference was then divided into 10 people who became suspects with a different nominal. The largest part was obtained by Lemhard Febian Sirait with a nominal value of Rp. 10.8 billion.

Meanwhile, Maria Febri Valentine gets the smallest part, which is IDR 900 million.
