Secretary General Of Gerindra: Prabowo's Proposal On Russia-Ukraine Reminds Soekarno's Figure

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani assessed that the political speech of the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto regarding proposals or proposals regarding conflict resolutions between Russia and Ukraine reminded the figure of the first President Soekarno. He said Prabowo Subianto's political speech at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Shangri-La Dialogue 2023 in Singapore, Saturday, June 3, received mixed responses from countries in the world. "This is the new Soekarno for Indonesia. Proud of our general chairman. Since Pak Prabowo served as Minister of Defense, Indonesia's existence has been taken into account by the world, respected, and even respected," he explained. He also mentioned that Prabowo's political speech had shown his capacity as a future presidential candidate. "Do you think it is appropriate for Prabowo to become president? If Allah wants him to lead Indonesia, God willing, Indonesia will become an Asian tiger. Not only in ASEAN, Asia, but even in the world," he said. Because, he said, Prabowo has a good relationship with world figures, in addition to his position as Defense Minister. In addition, Prabowo also understands several foreign languages and has good relations with Asian countries, Europe, Arabia, and even America. "This means that Pak Prabowo, apart from being the Defense Minister, is a person who is highly respected by the international community. He is the general chairman of the Gerindra Party. This is our capital for us to work harder to realize the President's Prabowo, Gerindra won 2024," he said. Therefore, Muzani asked all Gerindra Party cadres in South Sumatra to maintain and strengthen Prabowo's winning line in the 2024 General Election. He also reminded the history of the establishment of the Gerindra Party as a tool of political struggle to defend the poor and marginalized. Thus, every legislative candidate from the Gerindra Party must have good intentions if he later sits as a member of the council. "Being an administrator of the Gerindra Party and becoming a candidate for the Gerindra Party, intend to help people who are weak, poor, and marginalized from the position of an occupied council and have privilege, so that the honor you get in life is not the main goal. That is the fruit of our good intentions on God's trust in the world. If you want to find wealth, this is not the place," said Muzani.

He also asked all cadres and legislative candidates to maintain the people's trust because it brought the success of the Gerindra Party to become the second largest party in Indonesia.
