JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the assets of the Mayor of Pangkalpinang, Riau Islands, Maulan Aklil were not suspicious. The origins of his reported wealth have been investigated.

"He has a lot of assets but we send a team there, yes, indeed the assets are entrepreneurs. There are gardens, property," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Execution Pahala Nainggolan to reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 13.

"It seems that if you only talk about wealth, it can be explained from him as a businessman," he continued.

Not getting there, the KPK said that there were no odd receipts that entered Maulan Aklil's account. An analysis has been carried out by the mobile team.

The Mayor of Pangkalpinang, Maulan Aklil, was clarified for his wealth on Wednesday, May 17. The process lasted for five hours.

This clarification was made after his wife, Monica Haprinda, was discussed on social media (medsos) for showing off wealth such as wearing luxury bags branded Channels, Hermes, and Gucci. The goods are worth hundreds of millions of rupiah.
