Bung Karno's Month Commemoration In Sumenep So That People Don't Forget History

JAKARTA Bung Karno's Monthly Commemoration in Sumenep Regency, Madura, East Java was enlivened by a parade of traditional barrel music groups. The parade of the six barrel music groups caught the attention of the surrounding community.

"Congratulations on enjoying the performance of the six best barrel music groups in commemoration of Bung Karno's Month in Sumenep this year. Enjoy this traditional music strain by staying orderly," said Sumenep Regent Achmad Fauzi, Antara, June 11.

There is also a parade route for the barrel music group starting from the front of the Sumenep Regent's official residence on Jalan Panglima Sudirman to the front of Giling Square on Jalan KH Agus Salim, Kota District.

Along the route of the activity is crowded with residents who want to see the appearance of six barrel music groups, including "Cermata Ride", "Princess Wiraraja", and "National Gymnasium".

The Sumenep Police also engineered traffic flow by temporarily closing all access to the road which is the parade route for the barrel music group during the activity.

The chairman of the Bung Karno Month Commemoration Committee in Sumenep Abrari explained that his party held a number of activities, including Bung Karno's speech competition and the cake music group parade.

"The goal is that every citizen of this nation does not forget history, does not forget the father of the proclaimer of independence of this country, namely Bung Karno," he explained.
