The Taman Sari Metro Police arrested a 23-year-old teenager for fraud in a British band concert ticket from Coldplay. The suspect with the initials BT was arrested after the victim reported to call center 110.

"The perpetrator was arrested after the victim reported via callcenter 110. In carrying out the action, the perpetrator BT used the names of other people to deceive the victims," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes M Syahduddi to reporters, Friday, June 9.

Syahduddi explained that the chronology of the fraud was carried out by the perpetrators by uploading to a Twitter account related to the sale of Coldplay band concert tickets. Then, the victim was interested in the information distributed by the perpetrator through the @coldplayjkt account twitter account.

"Then from some of the people who responded, one of the people who was the reporter of the DA then replied to the perpetrator's tweet in this Twitter media and then continued with communication via WA," he said again.

He was held by WA, the suspect admitted to being named Aurelia and tried to convince the victim by sending his ID card and selfie ID card in the name of Aurelia.

Furthermore, the suspect then said that he could get a ticket to the concert, as long as the victim had to send the ticket fee according to the desired seating position.

Not only that, the victim was also asked to add Rp250,000 in purchase services. The victim complied with the perpetrator's request by buying one CAT 5 ticket, with a total of Rp5.5 million.

"Then the victim was asked to transfer to the Virtual Account (VA), number 8932540000773706 on behalf of the SINMA EPAY account that has been prepared by the reported party," he said.

After the victim transferred money, the suspect then transferred money from the SINMA EPAY application to the Dana application.

"After being successfully transferred, the victim has not been given (the Coldplay ticket code) and even the victim's number is blocked by the suspect," he said.

On that basis, the victim reported to the police until finally the perpetrator was arrested. The perpetrator is suspected of Article 378 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 4 years in prison.

Syahduddi also explained that what the perpetrator had done was revenge because he had been deceived by the Blackpink concert in Jakarta some time ago. BT alias the perpetrator, had lost Rp15 million to buy a Blackpink concert ticket.

"The motive rather than the perpetrator committing this crime was because he said he wanted revenge, because he had also been deceived in the past. He was disappointed to be deceived by people, he finally took revenge. He said by tricking people who would buy Coldplay tickets," said Syahduddi.
