MATARAM - Immigration Officer of Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) deported a British citizen with the initials JWH (38), back to his home country after it was revealed that he burned down the gate of a villa in the Gili Air tourist area, North Lombok Regency.

"We deport the person concerned today to return to his home country in England," said Head of the Mataram Immigration Office Pungki Handoyo in Mataram, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 8.

The deportation of British foreigners is based on the rules of Article 75 and/or Article 78 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

"So, according to the regulation, we apply administrative action, namely deportation to their country of origin," he said.
