Investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the North Sumatra Police have named 45 suspects in a gambling raid at AO's warehouse, on Jalan KM 18, Binjai City, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
"After the North Sumatra Police conducted an intensive examination of 78 people who were arrested, 45 suspects were determined," said Director of Criminal Investigation at the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Sumaryono, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 7.
He mentioned that the 45 suspects in the gambling case had different roles.
"The 45 suspects from the KM 18 gambling arena in Binjai City are currently in the process of being investigated," he said.
Sumaryono said investigators are currently filing a filing to be sent to the prosecutor as soon as possible.
The 45 suspects were detained at the North Sumatra Police, and were charged with violating Article 303 of the Criminal Code.
"His party will continue to conduct raids on gambling and follow up on information from the public," he said.
Dirreskrimum added that according to orders from the North Sumatra Police Chief, he would continue to conduct raids on gambling in the jurisdiction of the North Sumatra Police. "People's illness in the form of gambling that disturbs residents must be followed up," he explained.
When asked about the warehouse owner, Sumaryono emphasized that he was looking for AO, he was already on the wanted list.
