JAKARTA - The Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is targeting the DPR building in the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago to be built in 2024.

"Hopefully in 2024 the DPR building will be ready to start building at IKN," Basuki said in a Working Meeting with Commission V of the DPR as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 7.

Basuki said that his party had determined the winner of the competition for the DPR building at IKN.

"For the DPR building at IKN, we have held a competition and have been selected the best from the competition," he said.

Basuki explained that currently the PUPR ministry is following up on the design details for the DPR RI building.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) determined the winner of the Competition for the Concept of Design of Building Areas and Buildings in the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago for the Vice Presidential Palace complex, Legislative Office complex, Judicial Office complex, and the Worship complex.

The Ministry of PUPR will collaborate on the winning works of the regional and building design competition in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), including the design for the Vice Presidential Palace.

This selected design has met the criteria for the concept of regional and building design at IKN Nusantara, including meeting key performance indicators (KPI) related to buildings that have been established in the Urban Design Document of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) - IKN.

Then the design reflects the nation's identity in the interior design and exterior of the building, pays attention to applicable regulations and conditions regarding State Building Buildings (BGN), applies green building principles, and applies the principle of ease of building.

The Minister of PUPR said that IKN will be built in stages until 2045 by carrying out the concept of the Future Smart Forest City of Indonesia so that it will continue to pay attention to environmental aspects.

According to Basuki, currently there are no significant obstacles in physical development at IKN. The Ministry of PUPR is currently completing a number of infrastructures such as roads to support connectivity.
