KPAID Asks For Immoral Cases Of Teachers Obscenity To Students In Garut To Be Completely Revealed

TASIKMALAYA - The Regional Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPID) of Tasikmalaya Regency asked the Garut Regency Government and the police to fully reveal who were the victims of the case of house recitation teachers who committed immoral acts to their students. "We ask that this incident be opened as wide as possible, meaning that we must really identify who is the victim," said the head of the Tasikmalaya Regency KPAID covering the Garut Regency task area, Ato Rinanto when asked for a response regarding the case of dozens of children who were immoral victims in Samarang, Garut, Antara, Monday, June 4. KPAID Tasikmalaya has received reports of cases of a number of dozens of children who were immoral victims by his Koran teacher, and currently the perpetrators have been detained at the Garut Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, the newly identified victims, he said, have also received attention from local governments to get trauma recovery, and until now monitoring is still being carried out. "We see that the local government through UPT PPA, then the village and sub-district governments are making concrete efforts, of course we encourage this process to run quickly, especially to save the children of the victims," he said. Efforts to handle immoral cases that befell children are not only handled by the government, but parents, the community, and leaders in children's environment who are immoral victims. The case is not only sufficient for legal resolution and trauma recovery in children, but must think about future impacts for children who are immoral victims. "If this problem is not handled from upstream to downstream, then this victim will certainly be at risk of becoming a perpetrator, on that basis we ask all parties involved to participate," said Ato. Currently, the Garut Regency Government, as conveyed directly by the Garut Regent, has shown seriousness in taking concrete steps to deal with children who are immoral victims. He hopes that other parties will also move together not only to handle the incident this time, but to take anticipatory steps so that similar cases do not happen again in the future or other areas. "Sexual violence cases at certain sub-district points are very worrying, they need concrete steps, they need cooperation with all parties so that this problem does not become a problem in the future for our children," he said. Regarding the suspect who has now been prosecuted at the Garut Police, Ato appreciated the police officers who had moved quickly so that the perpetrators were arrested and the children saved. "The perpetrator has been handled by the Garut Police, for punishment to be more deterrent from learning for others, castration and life imprisonment, I think that is the most appropriate," he said. Previously, the Garut Police arrested a home recitation teacher because it was reported that he had committed an immoral crime, namely molesting his underage students, which is estimated to be 17 people in Samararang District, Garut. The recitation activity at the house of the perpetrator with the initials AS (50) has been carried out since 2022, then his obscene act was exposed after a child became the victim reported to his parents.
