Central Jakarta District Court Chairman Did Not Attend KY's Summons Regarding The Prima Against KPU Party Case

The Judicial Commission (KY) summoned the chairman and panel of judges at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) regarding the case filed by the Prima Party against the General Election Commission (KPU). The summons was made today. "Today's Judicial Commission summoned the chairman of the Central Jakarta District Court for questioning regarding Prima's decision against the KPU. This civil case is often referred to as the decision to postpone the election," said KY Spokesperson Miko Ginting in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, May 29. However, continued Miko, in that call the chairman of the Central Jakarta District Court could not attend, so KY would call back to the person concerned. "The recall will be carried out immediately because the value of the information you want to ask for is very important to make this case clear," said Miko. Meanwhile, a summons to the panel of judges at the Central Jakarta District Court was made on Tuesday, May 30. The Constitutional Court hopes that the panel of judges can attend to fulfill the summons. "This summons and extracting of information is carried out in the context of tracing whether or not there is a violation of the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct of Judges (KEPPH), the area that is the domain of the Judicial Commission," he explained. Previously, the Central Jakarta District Court granted the Prima Party's lawsuit against the KPU not to carry out the remaining stages of the 2024 General Election and carry out the election stages from the beginning for approximately two years and four months and seven days. "Punishing the defendant (KPU) not to carry out the remaining stages of the 2024 General Election since this decision was pronounced and carrying out the general election stage from the beginning for approximately two years and four months and seven days," said the Central Jakarta District Court Judges chaired by Oyong, as quoted from decision Number 757/Pdt.G/2022/PN Jkt.Pst, when accessed in Jakarta, Thursday (2/3).
