Yogyakarta-Solo Commuter Line Schedule Changes Starting In Early June

YOGYAKARTA - The Yogyakarta-Solo KRL or Commuter Line and Prambanan Express travel schedules will experience a number of changes starting in early June 2023 as an adjustment to the enactment of the latest train travel chart.

"There are a number of adjustments for the first and last departure hours so that prospective passengers are expected to be able to observe and rearrange their travel schedule," said KAI Commuter Vice President Corporate Secretary Anne Purba as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 25.

The schedule for the first departure of the Yogyakarta-Solo Commuter Line from Yogyakarta, which was previously at 05.20 WIB, changed to 05.30 WIB, while the first departure schedule from Palur remained at 04.55 WIB.

Meanwhile, the last departure from Yogyakarta Station also experienced adjustments from the previous 22.35 WIB to 17.45 WIB during weekdays and during weekends at 20.16 WIB. Meanwhile, from Palur from the previous 21.05 WIB to 18.07 WIB.

Meanwhile, the total journey of the Yogyakarta-Solo Commuter Line has not changed, still 20 trips a day during weekdays and 24 trips on weekends.

In addition to adjusting the departure schedule, a name change was also made for the Prambanan Eskpress (Prameks) Local Train to the Commuter Line Prameks.

The departure schedule for trains also changed, from 06.30 WIB to 06.37 WIB from Yogyakarta for the first departure, while from Kutoarjo also changed from 05.15 WIB to 05.25 WIB.

Likewise, the last departure from the previous 17.35 WIB to 18.38 WIB from Yogyakarta and from Kutoarjo to 16.05 WIB from the previous 15.58 WIB.

However, the total journey of Prameks Yogyakarta-Kutoarjo relationship has not changed in the latest travel chart, which remains eight trips every day.

The adjustment of the departure schedule is expected to improve the quality of service to customers. "Commuter line trips will also be three to six minutes faster than the old schedule," he said.

As of May this year, the Yogyakarta-Solo Commuter Line has served around 2.1 million subscribers while Prameks serves around 330,000 customers.

KAI Commuter targets to be able to transport around 5.7 million subscribers this year for the Yogyakarta-Solo Commuter Line and around 775,000 subscribers for Prameks.
