PAPUA - Pangdam XVII Cenderawasih Maj. Gen. Izak Pangemanan stated that the release of hostages, which until now has brought the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB), prioritized communication.

"Exemption efforts will involve all components of society," said Pangdam XVII Cenderawasih

He added that the Cenderawasih XVII Kodam would bridge two different thoughts from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and the KKB. "So we have to recognize, come and provide solutions to the community," he said.

He said, Kodam XVII Cenderawasih is ready to become a mediator if there are people who have difficulty conveying it to stakeholders. "This area is not a vulnerable area because it does not occur in all areas of Papua," he added.

As is known, the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya has been charming by Susi Air pilot Philip Mark Mehrtens since February 7.
