JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health complements every member of the pilgrims with a health card for Hajj pilgrims (KKJH) which is useful for monitoring health conditions while undergoing worship in Saudi Arabia.

"We recommend that every member of the congregation always carry a health card for Hajj pilgrims, especially during worship, to make it easier if health services are needed at any time," said Head of the Haji Liliek Health Center, Marhaendro Susilo, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 24.

He said the 1444 H/2023 M pilgrims began departing on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, after being judged to have fulfilled the istation or capable of carrying out the pilgrimage in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation number 15 of 2016 concerning the Hajj Health Istitaah.

"Every pilgrim who departs must fulfill the health istitation in order to perform their worship in accordance with the provisions of Islamic law," he said.

The government has issued a policy so that each prospective pilgrim is equipped with a KKJH as proof that they have received health checks and health coaching.

The KKJH is an identity card for pilgrims who contain health information such as medical records, vaccinations, and a history of health development for Hajj pilgrims.

The card also includes a barcode or QR code that can be used for health workers to access health information from pilgrims according to the portion number through the tele-officer application.

The KKJH has two color groups, namely orange and white. Hajj candidates with orange KKJH are hajj brokers that are included in high risk health status. Meanwhile, those who fall into the category are not at risk of being marked with white.

High risk health status is established for pilgrims with criteria, aged 60 years or over and have health risk factors and health problems that have the potential to cause problems in the body's health system.
