PPP: KIB Disbands Its Own If The Presidential Candidate Is Different

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the United Development Party (PPP) Arsul Sani stated that if the presidential candidate is different, then the Indonesian coalition (KIB) will disband by itself.

"The coalition is something formal. If later each pair's decisions will turn out to be different, there is no need for a formal statement. Disbanded by itself and the coalition will end," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 24.

He assessed that the disbandment of the coalition did not need to be carried out formally. The political party axis (political parties) is said to be disbanded by itself if members already have opposing vision and mission.

Despite agreeing that KIB has the opportunity to disband, Arsul believes this coalition can still run. Moreover, the two members of KIB, namely the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the Golkar Party, have not yet decided on support for the 2024 presidential candidate.

"But there is still the same possibility, because both the Golkar Party and PAN are still communicating with various parties, including with Ganjar and PDIP," he explained.

Arsul did not deny that the fate of KIB depended on the decision of PAN and the Golkar Party. Given that PPP has already decided to support the Governor of Central Java (Central Java) as a presidential candidate.

"Golkar and PAN are in the process of making decisions, whether the decision is the same or not, which will determine the status of KIB," he asserted.

Arsul again emphasized that the disbandment of KIB would not be formally announced. According to him, the difference in the political attitude of each member is enough to inform if KIB officially disbands.
