PDIP Secretary General Delivers Megawati's Message To Gibran: Beware Of Political Manuver

Gibran Rakabuming Raka fulfills the call of the PDIP/PDIP DPP

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka to be careful with political maneuvers ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

The message was conveyed by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto to Gibran during a dialogue at the PDIP DPP office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Jakarta, Monday, May 22. He said the political dynamics that occurred must be addressed with vigilance.

"Earlier, we explained the messages from Megawati Soekarnoputri to Mas Gibran, that politics is building civilization, politics is caring for mothers, and politics must also be vigilant from various political maneuvers," said Hasto.

"Because the political goal is to move downwards. So empower the people, and together with the people we know that under 2024 the political dynamics are very high, so everyone must be vigilant," he continued.

Hasto also discussed political dialects with Gibran and the Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Honorary Affairs Komarudin Watubun. According to him, President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son has a role in national political conditions because of the region he leads.

"Indeed, like it or not, Solo is the home of the PDIP bull. Also as well as the epicenter of national politics so that as a mayor, he receives many national-level guests, especially Solo, the food is extraordinary, the culinary delights are also extraordinary," he explained.

As for the meeting, Hasto said that Gibran had openly explained in detail the problems that made him called the PDIP DPP. He also welcomed Prabowo Subianto's presidential candidate and at the same time accepted supporting volunteers in Solo.

"In principle, the meeting between party cadres for dialogue and straightening out various things that are often reported and the reality is different, so many interests are playing, so many framings are trying to be played," concluded Hasto.
