NasDem Candidate Sawer Uang At Garut KPU Office After Registration

GARUT - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Garut Regency, West Java, regrets the euphoria of a number of candidates for legislative members from NasDem who distributed money after registering at the local KPU office.

Garut Regency Bawaslu member Ahmad Nurul Syahid said that his party was aware of the direct action of sawer money by Bacapleg from NasDem. In fact, it should not have been necessary, especially in the Garut Regency KPU office.

"I really regret that the division of these activities was carried out in the courtyard of the KPU office," Ahmad said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 11.

Political parties should comply with the rules in force in every election activity.

Therefore, Bawaslu will discuss the issue of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election which distribute money to the Garut Regency KPU office.

"Later, we will try to discuss whether this is an element (of violation) or not, we will discuss it later," he said.

The head of the Garut Regency KPU, Junaidin Basri, said that the distribution of money by the leg was beyond his expectations, and occurred spontaneously.

Junaidin knew firsthand about the distribution of money by balaleg, and had tried to notify them by giving them a cross hand code to stop the action of dividing money in the local KPU office.

"We don't know, out of control, and we've also tried to stop it," he said.

According to him, the action of distributing the money should not be carried out, especially at the Garut Regency KPU office.

"In the future, there will be no ordinary attractions like that in the future," he asserted.

The palm oil in the nominal tens of thousands of rupiah was carried out by three people after registering the balaleg at the Garut Regency KPU Office.

Bahkan, Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Daerah (DPD) Partai NasDem Kabupaten Garut yang juga istri Bupati Garut Diah Kurniasari turut membasahkan uang sambil naik dokapan.
