JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is waiting for lawyer Stefanus Roy Rening to fulfill the summons of investigators as suspects today, Tuesday, May 9. "We are waiting according to the confirmation today," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, May 9.

Meanwhile, Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur said that Stefanus was named a suspect in the alleged obstruction of the investigation because he had to be held accountable for his actions. The lawyer is suspected of trying alone to make his client do not need to undergo the legal process.
"So, what we see is personal accountability, individual accountability carried out by RR brothers," he said.
However, Asep did not want to elaborate further on Stefanus' obstruction efforts. The public is asked to be patient in waiting for the anti-corruption commission's follow-up.
Previously, Stefanus Roy Rening asked to postpone the investigation as a suspect because he claimed he was being treated at the hospital.
"Our client, Mr. Roy, is exhausted by activities and needs outpatient care," said Stefanus Roy Rening's team of attorneys, Emanuel Herdiyanto, to reporters, Friday, May 5.
Emanuel said Stefanus had to be treated until May 4-6. Thus, the legal team asked for an examination to be carried out on Tuesday, May 9.
"We make sure on Tuesday Mr. Roy will come," he said.
