KAPUAS HULU - Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan, Ahmad Yani resigned from his position on the grounds that he wanted to register as a candidate for legislative member of the 2024 General Election.
"I resign because I want to be a legislative candidate in the 2024 election and want to make a bigger contribution through political channels," said Ahmad Yani, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 8.
Yani has been a member of the Kapuas Hulu Regency KPU since the 2013-2018 period and has returned to being a member of the local KPU since 2018-2023 and served as chairman of the KPU. He hopes that the 2024 General Election can run safely, smoothly, and successfully; thus giving birth to quality leaders or representatives of the people.
In addition, Yani also invites the public to exercise their voting rights properly and ensure that they are registered as voters in the 2024 General Election.
