Considered JK Difficult To Realize, Big Coalition Ensures Cak Imin Continues To Be Strived

JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Ketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or familiarly called Cak Imin said that the formation of a large coalition was still being worked on.

"The Big Coalition continues to be pursued. Although it is not easy and even according to Mr. Jusuf Kalla it is difficult to occur, but the name is also an effort, who knows," Cak Imin told reporters after holding a meeting with Jusuf Kalla (JK) as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 6.

Previously, Jusuf Kalla said that although the formation of a large coalition was a good idea or discourse, according to him, the formation of the coalition was difficult not to do.

JK considers it not easy to unite several major political parties to carry a pair of candidates for president and vice presidential candidates (candidates).

"It's a good discourse idea, but in terms of political implementation it is difficult because it is not easy for in number all of them to unite in one candidate," he said.

Previously, the idea of forming a major coalition emerged after President Jokowi met the leaders of political parties supporting the current government.

The five political party leaders in the meeting at the PAN DPP office, Sunday (2/4) were Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto, General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar (PKB), Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto, Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan, and Plt. Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Muhammad Mardiono.
