JAKARTA - The number of backflows at Gambir Station Jakarta decreased slightly on D+6 Lebaran 2023 compared to the previous day. It was recorded that on Friday as many as 14,800 passengers arrived at Gambir Station, while on Thursday there were 15,900 passengers.

"Of these, 16,500 are passengers who disembarked at Pasar Senen Station, 14,800 passengers at Gambir Station, 4,400 passengers at Bekasi Station, 4,200 passengers at Jatinegara Station, and the rest passengers disembarked at Jakarta Kota, Cikarang, Karawang, and Cikampek Stations," said Head of Public Relations (Humas) of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairu Maksya in his statement, Friday, April 28, quoted by Antara. He said, the number of service users departing during the Eid al-Fitr holiday from Daop 1 Jakarta was still increasing when compared to normal days. On Friday approximately 31,000 passengers departed from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station.

From the monitoring carried out by PT KAI Daop 1, today the passenger occupancy rate reached 74 percent of the total seating availability. Especially for Gambir Station, there were 12,000 passengers departing on 38 trains. In total, he said, based on ticket sales data as of Friday afternoon, there were 690 thousand tickets sold for departure during the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri holiday from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station. The passenger occupancy rate had reached 90 to 100 percent, with the highest passenger volume on April 18 to 23. PT KAI still opened ticket sales on the spot, starting three hours before the train departure schedule. As for regular ticket bookings, he said, buyers can get it through the KAI access application, the official KAI website, and various official sales partners partnering with KAI.
