Company Reports In DKI Haven't Paid THR 2023 Up 20 Percent Compared To Last Year

Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) Hari Nugroho said there was an increase in the number of company reports that had not paid holiday allowances (THR) to their employees compared to last year.

"Compared to last year, the maximum increase was 20 percent of the report," said Hari at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, April 27.

So far, there are 746 reports that have been submitted with 432 companies that have been reported to have not paid the THR at all or not. So, there are several reports of complaining of the same company.

"Of the 432 companies, we are currently processing 358 companies, 31 companies have not been processed, 43 of which have been completed. Those who have not, will continue to be investigated," said Hari.

Furthermore, Hari explained, the most reported types of companies have not paid THR for employees engaged in services and trade. Both types of businesses are still not fully recovered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"After COVID-19 is over, people will definitely demand that the company is in stable condition. However, currently it is still building from COVID-19," said Hari.

Ia mengaku, jumlah tim pengawas yang sedikit menyebabkan seluruh proses verifikasi dan mediasi antara perusahaan dan pegawai membeli berbung-bulan.

"Now our supervisors are limited. At most, only 20 to 30 people. Therefore, we are still asking the supervisory team to come in as our supervisory staff," he explained.

There are various sanctions that can be imposed by companies that do not pay their THR. The heaviest sanction is the revocation of business licenses. However, so far no company has received the sanctions.

"First, they were tested, there was a memorandum of first examination of the company. Later, they will be given 14 days. As soon as they are examined, we will check the second check note again. However, usually when they have examined the second, they pay the THR," he added.
