Observer: It's Better If Prabowo, Anies And Ganjar All Advance In The 2024 Presidential Election

BENGKULU - Political and academic experts from Bengkulu University, Panji Suminar, suggested that Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto, and Anies Baswedan all run as presidential candidates in the 2024 election.

"By advancing, the three of them are even better for Indonesia, having a positive impact," said Panji Suminar in Bengkulu, Monday, April 24.

According to him, with the presence of three competing pairs of candidates, polarization in the community can be suppressed, because the community will be divided in support of three pairs of candidates, so that the effects of polarization as in the previous elections can be reduced.

"If it's only two pairs, it will immediately face each other like in the previous election, the potential for division is even higher," he said, quoted by Antara.

With the three choices of presidential candidate pairs, community support has also become more heterogeneous and not only focused on two pairs of candidates. Panji Suminar said that it is possible that polarization will occur in the second round, but it will not be as dangerous as in the election with only two candidates.

"It is possible that polarization will only occur in the second round, when the candidate pair has only two pairs left. However, the distance from the first round to the second is not so far away, so polarization is indeed possible but not as dangerous as the election with only two candidates," he said.

According to Panji Suminar, the possibility of three pairs of candidates is very possible at the 2024 democratic party. Anies Baswedan has found political parties that will support him, namely the Democratic Party, NasDem, and PKS.

Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto already has a partner, namely Muhaimin Iskandar, and Gerindra and PKB have hinted at the coalition. PDIP has announced its presidential candidate, namely Ganjar Pranowo, and it remains only to determine the vice presidential candidate who will become Ganjar's tandem.
