Head of BP2MI Benny Rhamdani said West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) is known for its rat lane which is the way for non-procedural Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) to enter Malaysia to work.

"West Kalimantan is known to have many rat lanes, because the nation's children often depart non-procedurally through the rat route. The big state naively is controlled by syndicates, we must not bow to the syndicates," said Beni in Pontianak, Monday, April 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

For this reason, he continued, it is necessary to participate in all stakeholders or stakeholders to anticipate this. Because the border area has been detected as a dark route from the illegal placement of PMIs.

"Of course the government knows exactly what risks were obtained by non-procedural PMIs who were secretly dispatched," he said.

Benny said this is the collaborative work of all parties with awareness and orientation on the interests of the red and white and the Republic of Indonesia, so the importance of the role of all stakeholders to prevent the mode of syndicates and protect PMI.

"Do not let the government educate syndicates, and do not give space for government officials to cooperate with syndicates. We already know the syndicate modes and victims they produce, so we must stop the PMI illegal placement ecosystem," he said.

Meanwhile, in the same place, West Kalimantan Governor Sutarmidji said BP2MI must build a Job Training Center (BLK) to improve PMI competence.

"I conveyed to the Head of BP2MI, we have to build a BLK, if necessary, the Certification Center will be built, it will be used to improve PMI," he said.

However, he said, it would be better if PMI did not work for other countries, it would be enough to work in Indonesia. Because according to him, there are still many jobs.

"He can go abroad, but he is not a rough worker. If he wins palm oil in Malaysia, his salary is only RM 900 ringgit, it's better to work in Indonesia, because in West Kalimantan there are still many job opportunities," he said.
