COVID-19 Update As Of April 11: 944 New Cases, 702 Recovered

JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 21,742 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 944 new positive cases of COVID-19.

Today's recovered cases increased by 702 people, bringing the total to 6,584,708 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 14 cases and a total of 161,071 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 373 cases and a total of 1,549,224 cases. Followed by West Java which has 198 new cases with a total of 1,240,056 cases. East Java has 101 new cases and a total of 639,720 cases. Banten has 101 new cases and a total of 367,971 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 165 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 302 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 86 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 78 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,100,892.

"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 4.68 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,681 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 203,826,802 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,860,943 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 68,677,039 and the fourth dose was 3,113,574. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
