Homeless, Beggars, And Buskers In South Jakarta, Were Taken By Satpol PP To The Social Institution

A total of 404 Social Welfare Service Providers (PPKS) in the South Jakarta area were brought by the Social Service Sub-Department to the Insani One Social Institution (PSBI I) for guidance. Head of the South Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. (Sudinsos) Bernard Tambunan said, hundreds of PPKS, he managed from January to the end of March 2023.

Bernard explained that hundreds of PPKS consisted of 60 homeless people, 94 buskers, 41 beggars, 86 scavengers, 16 hawkers, 5 illegal parking, 1 tuna susila, 24 mental disabilities, 1 person with disabilities, 28 elderly displaced, 2 neglected children, 25 neglected and 21 Non-PPKS.

"All PPKS are reached by the Social Supervision and Control Service Task Force (P3S) at a number of monitoring points," said Bernard in his statement, Tuesday, April 4.

Bernard revealed that in this assessment, it involved members of the Satpol PP who were carried out three times a week.

"It is hoped that the reach of PPKS will increase the availability and comfort of the city of South Jakarta from disturbances to public order," he said.
