JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially inaugurated Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotejo, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, as a minister in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet at the State Palace today.
Along with Dito, Jokowi also appointed Komjen Rycko Amelza Daniel as Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT).
The inauguration ceremony for Dito and Rycko began with singing Indonesia Raya. A number of ministers and high-ranking state institutions were also present at this inauguration.
Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama then read out the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 26/P of 2023 which contained the appointment of Dito as Menpora and Presidential Decree 51/TPA in 2023 regarding the dismissal and appointment of the position of Head of BNPT.
After the Presidential Decree was read, Jokowi then led the oath-taking of the Minister of Youth and Sports and the newly appointed Head of BNPT.
"Are you willing to take an oath according to Islam?" Jokowi asked, seen in the YouTube broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat, Monday, April 3.
"Willing," replied Dito and Rycko.
"By Allah, I swear. That I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out the laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of my service to the nation and state," said Jokowi, guiding the reading of the oath of office followed by Dito and Rycko.
"That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of my position, work as well as possible, with a full sense of responsibility," he continued.
After the oath was pronounced, the signing of the inauguration ceremony was carried out. The song Indonesia Raya re-verberated. Jokowi then came forward to greet Dito and Rycko who took on his new position, followed by guests who were present.
