Regarding The Dismantlement Of IDR 349 Trillion At The Ministry Of Finance, Mahfud MD: Not I'm Nantang, I'm Challenged

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD admitted that he had never challenged members of Commission III of the DPR to hold a joint meeting in revealing odd transactions of IDR 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance.

"When I said it was challenging, it was because I answered the challenge. I have never [composed]," said Mahfud during a meeting with Commission III of the DPR at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 29.

He said the challenge was because they were challenged first. This was initiated by an online news upload that was mentioned to Mahfud MD by a member of Commission III of the DPR from the Democratic Party faction, Benny K Harman.

"The point is 'I hope Mahfud dares to open up, dare to be honest," said Mahfud.

Mahfud also did this by answering Benny's challenge via his personal Twitter account as well. "Bismillah, I came. Right, that's it," he added.

The proof of throwing tweets at each other via their respective Twitter accounts was also included by Mahfud. The chairman of the National TPPU Committee said that he never challenged just answering challenges.

"So I wasn't the one who challenged, I was the one being challenged, so I was answered, so don't turn it around," said Mahfud.

Because he felt challenged, Mahfud was also present at the meeting with Commission III of the DPR.

"It's not me starting. I'm not, just stay silent. But it's being challenged, right, come, please come too, Mr. Arteria, Mr. Arsul," he said.
