Furious To Be Called Absent From The Call Of The KPK, Gusril Pausi: I Am An Active Regent!

JAKARTA - Regent Kaur Gusril Pausi has refused to be called absent from the summons to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Gusril claims that he never received a summons for investigation from the KPK. Gusril was originally to be investigated in the case of the fry export license.

"I am an active regent so it is impossible (to be absent). If there is something that the KPK needs, yes, I will definitely attend," said Gusril, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 12.

According to him, it was too much to embed the word absent from him. "If it is called absenteeism, it is too much. If you are absent, it means you have fought. The first letter I did not have," he said.

As for the online search for the large Indonesian dictionary (KBBI), absenteeism is tantamount to being absent.

Gusril admitted that since Monday, January 11, he has been in Kaur Regency and has been working as a regional head at the local regent's office.

He considered the reports that claimed he did not fulfill the KPK's summons to be examined as a witness in the case of the bribery of the lobster seed export permit at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) was too excessive and harmed his reputation.

Gusril promised to fulfill the KPK's summons if needed because he was curious about the examination material.

"This is very detrimental to me, my children and my family. I have never received any letter from the KPK. Yes, if there is, I will attend," he said.

Previously, Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri, through his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, said that Regent Kaur Gusril Pausi did not attend the KPK summons on Monday, January 11.

Gusril was summoned to be examined as a witness for the suspected Director of PT Dua Putra Perkasa (DPP) Suharjito (SJT) in the bribery case for the lobster seed export license at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP).

The KPK, said Ali, will reschedule the summons to Regent Kaur Gusril Pausi.
