Minister Of Transportation Reviewing The Smooth Crossing Of Tourists At Sanur Port

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi visited the Sanur Port in Denpasar, Bali, to ensure the smooth traffic of tourists during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

"The Sanur Port is one of the ports in the Bali area which has quite high traffic during Christmas and New Year," said the Minister of Transportation in Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday.

According to the Minister of Transportation, Bali is still a magnet for tourists, both at home and abroad, for recreation during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

"Therefore, today I visited the Sanur Port to ensure that the available facilities and infrastructure are really effective in supporting the smooth running of crossing traffic in the area," said Minister of Transportation Dudy in a statement in Jakarta.

He also explained that the facilities at the Sanur Port are now much better after the revitalization is carried out. Before the revitalization is carried out, passengers must step on the sea water first before boarding the ship. This condition is no longer visible.

He said, in general, the facilities at the Sanur Port were very adequate in terms of passenger safety and comfort.

"Today, most of the passengers foreign tourists look comfortable while at the port, both in the waiting room, the pier until when they enter the ship," explained the Minister of Transportation.

The Minister of Transportation emphasized that transportation infrastructure plays an important role in developing the tourism sector in the country.

Therefore, he hopes that the Sanur Port manager can continue to improve services to the community, so that tourism on the Island of the Gods can continue to progress and develop.

"I hope that services at the Sanur Port can continue to be improved, not only during the Christmas and New Year holidays, but throughout the year," said the Minister of Transportation.

Sanur Port connects the Golden Triangle area on the island of Bali, namely Sanur, Nusa Penida, and Nusa Ceningan. This port is easily accessible from a number of tourist centers in the Bali area, such as Ubud, Kuta, Nusa Dua, Canggu, and so on.

Sanur Port currently has a floating dock of 2,120 m2. With this dimension, the Sanur Port pier can be driven by 26 tourist ships with a maximum weight of 116 GT.

In addition to Sanur Port, Minister of Transportation Dudy also reviewed the movement of air transportation passengers at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. This is to ensure that the supporting facilities at the airport can be utilized properly by passengers.
