PKL Battered Beaten By Dozens Of TMII Security On New Year's Eve

JAKARTA - A street vendor (PKL) was ganged up by a number of security at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in the elevation parking area of TMII, Cipayung, East Jakarta on New Year's Eve Tuesday, December 31.

The victim with the initials DM was battered all over his body due to being beaten by security. After the incident, the victim reported the case to the East Jakarta Metro Police.

Based on witness R's testimony to the police, the incident began with TMII security who saw traders entering the TMII area on New Year's Eve.

The security reprimanded one of the street vendors who wanted to sell. However, there was an argument that led to a fight.

Because at the time of the incident there were many security officers on guard, the victim was finally beaten by 20 perpetrators.

"The complainant was beaten by 20 people who were reported. When a friend of the reporter came, the commotion was finally resolved," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary, Wednesday, December 1.

The victim then reported the incident to the East Jakarta Metro Police. A total of 2 witnesses were examined.

Meanwhile, TMII Public Relations Officer, Novera Mayang Sari, said that his party was still investigating the incident.

"Currently we are investigating whether this happened and what the chronology was like," he said briefly.
